AutoX is proud that over the years Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives have become a core component to the business. At AutoX, we are committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve.
We have once again dedicated ourselves to partners, where our 2020 CSI programme will support the following recipients:
- The Quadriplegic Association of South Africa (QASA) by sponsoring SABAT® batteries for electric wheelchairs;
- Reach For A Dream whereby we aim to inspire hope, courage and strength in the lives of critically ill and vulnerable children;
- Thomas High School in Port Elizabeth by helping to further upgrade infrastructure and supplying learning equipment such as laboratory materials and computers;
- Caring Daisies by providing ad-hoc assistance when a helping hand is needed; and
- Good Morning Angels, in association with Jacaranda FM, by sponsoring ad-hoc initiatives
The Quadriplegic Association of South Africa (QASA)
QASA and AutoX have had a long-standing relationship, one that dates back over a decade ago. QASA’s goal is to serve quadriplegics, paraplegics and the disability sector. They aim to assist people with mobility impairments to lead independent and happy lives, in areas ranging from personal care and assistive devices to adequate skills development and employment.
Through our brand, SABAT batteries, we also sponsor an annual QASA race day whereby QASA members enjoy a memorable day out with the team.
Reach For A Dream
Childhood should be the most magical phase of one’s life. For children who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, the magic is easily lost.
Reach For A Dream tries to alleviate some of the emotional, physical and financial strain of dealing with a life-threatening illness by creating magical moments that last a lifetime. Some of the health concerns they deal with range from leukemia, cystic fibrosis, and muscular dystrophy to HIV, kidney failure and blood disorders. Through fulfilling each child’s unique dream the Foundation is able to bring many forms of relief to each child. Fulfilling the dreams of terminally ill children is not just about fulfilling a child’s wants. Reach For A Dream aims to improve the quality of life for life-threatened children.
St. Thomas High School
St. Thomas High School, which schools close to 1000 students, opened its doors in 1941. In an effort to support local schools, AutoX assists with supplying learning equipment and infrastructural upgrades to assist in creating an environment that is conducive to learning.
Caring Daisies
Caring Daisies is an initiative driven by a group of ordinary moms and one dad, whose goal is to make people aware of the ‘Gift of Giving’ and to ‘Change Lives Forever’. Their team exudes passion and determination, where they help communities and those in need.
Good Morning Angels
Good Morning Angels, an initiative by Jacaranda FM, aims to help those who face difficulties and provide the opportunity for their listeners to hear heartwarming stories via their radio platform. Good Morning Angels have seen massive success, making many a dream a reality.
Tulip (Tuks Leadership and Individual Programme)
TULIP is active in four schools, two in Mamelodi (Gatang Secondary School and Solomon Mahlangu Secondary School) and two in Laudium (Himalaya Secondary School and Laudium Secondary School).
AutoX contributions help TULIP pay for application fees, study material and other resources needed to change the future of South Africa one education at a time.
Here at AutoX, we look forward to strengthening our relationships with our CSI partners and contributing to their future development and sustainability.
